about the library

The library comprises two collections, the Vajra Regent Ösel Tendzin Library, and the teachings of Patrick Sweeney, Trimé Lhawang.

vajra regent ösel tendzin library

The Vajra Regent Ösel Tendzin Library & Archives was founded in 1990. It is dedicated to preserving and providing access to teachings by Ösel Tendzin, dharma heir of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche, first-generation Western holder of the Kagyü and Nyingma lineages and co-founder of the Shambhala Training program.

The Vajra Regent Ösel Tendzin collection includes audio and video teachings, transcripts, books, calligraphies, and other artifacts. Donations support the ongoing work of digitizing the lifetime body of teachings of the Vajra Regent. Donors have partnered with the archive staff to make available CDs, DVDs, audio downloads, and books, based on the collection.
